Used effectively Botox treatments can turn back the clock of time and reduce the effects of ageing on your skin. Reduce wrinkles and gain skin with a smooth appearance.

Wrinkles are caused by constantly contracting facial muscles and skin losing its elasticity. These two effects means that your skin can no longer spring back to give a smooth appearance.

Botox works by freezing or weakening the muscles below these wrinkled areas. Within a few days the wrinkles gradually fade. It must be stressed that the effects are not permanent as muscle function returns. However, with a course of treatments, the muscles become more relaxed and can eventually ‘forget’ how to contract. The results are younger looking, less tired skin.

Botox is most effective on the following areas:- Forehead, Eyebrow and around the Eyes “Crows Feet”. It can also be used around the mouth and neck but in smaller doses and therefore the results are less dramatic.

Fillers offer a longer term anti-wrinkle solution and are particularly effective in larger folds of skin around the mouth and cheeks. To avoid any allergic reaction Hyaluronic acid fillers are used. These are safe, as the acid is a naturally occurring substance in your skin. Once injected you will immediately feel volume being added to the areas being treated.

Sclerotherapy is considered to be the gold standard in treating thread veins. The treatment in the legs involves a small amount of medicine being injected into the enlarged small veins resulting in an inflammation. Whilst it may sound drastic, this inflammation is hardly noticed by you. This then ‘glues’ the vein together. After a few weeks the vein will gradually disappear.
